The top tab next to the FireMate 451 logo “Jobs” is to be selected.
The second line has “Job:”, “Import template” and “Create New Job”
“Job” is a pull down for previous estimates.
“Import template” is to insert a pickoff template into you estimate.
“Create New Job” is what is selected to start your estimate.
After you select creating a new job you will be asked for a job name and if you would like a template for your estimate. Templates are a shopping list that help you with a possibility list needed to transfer your preliminary design drawing into a parts pricing. You can add a template at any time like underground or fire pump.
You will see your new Job Name appear on the Job pulldown. The left side of the screen “Pickoff Items” will be your estimate tab. “Job Details” has an area for your estimate description. The information on this screen is used for a cover sheet when printing your estimate. This screen also has the “delete job forever” …. If you click it there is no second chance.
The next tab is “Report” and you can screen review your estimate and tab between any of the tabs as you like and still have the estimate “Pickoff Items” available to add to or modify.
Place your quantities located on the far-left side of the estimate window. If you have a special price for your ESFR sprinklers or any other item be sure to lock it (right side) so it will not be automatically updated by the price book.
